Glycolipids permit the absorption of carbohydrate ligands
onto plates, micro wells and a variety of other surfaces, so that the ligand
may be used as a probe, in diagnostic tests and in ELISA. We offer
neoglycolipids which we have synthesised by conjugating oligosaccharides via
an amino group and a 3-atom linker arm to
1,2-di-O-hexadecyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (HDPE). These products
are sold as amorphous white solids. They can be reconstituted by dissolving
with sonication in chloroform:methanol:water = 350:480:175 |
